ESKUTE Electric Trikes
The T300 is a three-wheeled e-bike with a low step-thru frame, a backrest seat, a front basket and a rear rack, and a frame that folds for storage.
An electric trike trades the speed of a two-wheeler for stability. You don't balance it at a stop, you can sit back against a seat, and you can load it up with shopping. Here is what to check on ESKUTE's ESKUTE T300 Folding Electric Trike before you buy.
Stability and getting on
The T300 has a low step-thru frame, a padded seat with a backrest, and a rear differential working with 18" × 3.0" tires to keep the trike steady on uneven ground and in turns. ESKUTE designed it with older and first-time riders in mind.
Battery in watt-hours
A removable 48V 13Ah battery (624 Wh by V × Ah) is rated for up to 65 miles per charge, and you can carry it indoors to charge. ESKUTE's spec sheet gives a charging time of 4 to 6 hours.
Speed and effort
The motor is rated at 500W with a 1200W peak, for up to 18+ mph. Pedal, pedal assist and throttle modes let you choose how much work you do. It is a single-speed drivetrain, so steep hills lean on the motor.
Load and cargo
The product page rates the T300 for riders up to 350 lb. It has a front basket and a rear rack that ESKUTE rates at 120 lb.
Storage and fit
The frame folds to a length of 31.5", per ESKUTE, but the trike weighs 93 lb, so lifting it into a car is a two-person job. The adjustable seat fits riders from 4'8" to 6'2". A trike is wider than a bicycle, so check doorways and garage space too.
