ESKUTE Review: E-Bikes, Folding Trike & Electric Dirt Bikes
Is ESKUTE a good choice, and which of its bikes fits the way you ride? The answer depends on whether you want a compact fat tire e-bike, a stable three-wheeler for errands, or a pedal-free electric dirt bike, because ESKUTE builds all three. This review compares five ESKUTE models on battery, motor and fit, and points you to the guides that go deeper.
The model notes below are drawn from ESKUTE's published specifications. Where ESKUTE gives two different figures for the same thing, we use the more cautious one.
What sets ESKUTE apart
Fat tires across the range. The V100 runs 16" × 4.0" tires, the V300 20" × 4.0", and the T300 trike 18" × 3.0". Wide tires add grip on sand, gravel and broken pavement, and they add cushioning on top of the suspension.
Moped-style e-bikes with real suspension. Both the V100 and the V300 pair a front suspension fork with a rear shock, a long saddle and a 7-speed drivetrain, so they're more comfortable than their compact size suggests.
A trike that folds. The T300 combines a rear differential, a backrest seat and a front basket and rear rack with a frame that folds for storage.
Dirt bikes with certified batteries. The NOVA X uses a UL 2272 certified battery, and ESKUTE describes the NOVA Mini as TUV certified. Both use hydraulic disc brakes.

Range figures are ESKUTE's maximums. Throttle-only riding, hills, headwinds, cold weather and a heavier rider all shorten them. Our ESKUTE battery life and range guide explains how to read these numbers.

- Battery guide: ESKUTE Battery Life and Range: What the Numbers Mean compares watt-hours across these five ESKUTE models and explains why pedal-assist figures run higher than throttle riding.
Who ESKUTE fits
ESKUTE suits riders who want a lot of motor and fat tire comfort in a compact package. The V100 suits riders who need something easy to store, the V300 suits longer commutes and mixed terrain, and the T300 suits older riders and anyone who'd rather not balance on two wheels. The NOVA X and NOVA Mini are for off-road riding on private land, tracks and trails.
It's a weaker fit if you want a lightweight bike to carry up stairs every day: even the compact V100 weighs 70.2 lb. It's also a weaker fit if you need a road-legal motorcycle, since both NOVA bikes are off-road machines. Check local rules on speed, age and licensing before you buy any of them.
Which ESKUTE has pedals, and which doesn't
The V100, V300 and T300 are pedal bikes with a motor, and each lets you pedal with or without motor help or ride on throttle. The V300 adds Boost and Cruise modes. The NOVA X and NOVA Mini have no pedals and are ridden like small motorcycles. That one split decides most purchases: if the rider wants to commute or exercise, look at the V-series or the trike. If they want trail speed, look at the NOVA bikes.
FAQ
How far can an ESKUTE e-bike go on one charge?
By ESKUTE's figures, the V300 goes up to 85 miles at most in pedal assist, the T300 up to 65 miles, and the V100 up to 60 miles in pedal assist. Real-world range is lower when you ride on throttle or climb a lot.
Which ESKUTE is best for seniors?
The ESKUTE T300 Folding Electric Trike. It has three wheels with a rear differential, a low step-thru frame, a seat with backrest and an 18+ mph top speed, and ESKUTE designed it with older and first-time riders in mind.
What's the difference between the ESKUTE V100 and V300?
Wheel size and battery. The V100 rolls on 16" fat tires with a 48V 13Ah battery; the V300 uses 20" fat tires and a 48V 20.8Ah battery. The V300 also adds Boost and Cruise modes, NFC unlock, a full-color LCD and a hydraulic rear brake.
Is the ESKUTE NOVA X or NOVA Mini faster?
ESKUTE quotes 35–46 mph for the NOVA X and 38–46 mph for the NOVA Mini, so the top end is the same. The NOVA X has the bigger peak motor (4000W vs 3500W); the NOVA Mini has the slightly larger battery (23Ah vs 22.8Ah) and a mid-drive motor.
Can I take the battery out to charge it?
Yes on the V300, the T300 and the NOVA X, whose product pages describe removable batteries. The V300 can also be charged on the bike.
Do ESKUTE bikes fold?
The T300 trike folds; ESKUTE gives a folded length of 31.5". The V100, V300 and the NOVA bikes are not folding designs.
