ESKUTE Electric Dirt Bikes
Pit-style electric dirt bikes with hydraulic brakes and full suspension: the 4000W peak NOVA X and the mid-drive NOVA Mini.
ESKUTE's two electric dirt bikes have no pedals. They're ridden like small motorcycles, on the throttle alone, and ESKUTE gives top speeds in the 35 to 46 mph range for the NOVA X and 38 to 46 mph for the NOVA Mini. Both are off-road machines, so check local rules on age, licensing and where they can be ridden before you choose.
Motor and climbing
The ESKUTE NOVA X Electric Dirt Bike has a 4000W peak motor, and ESKUTE gives 230 N·m of torque and 40° climbing. The ESKUTE NOVA Mini Electric Dirt Bike uses a 3500W peak mid-drive motor with 220 N·m and 35° climbing.
Battery in watt-hours
The two are close. The NOVA X carries a removable 48V 22.8Ah battery certified to UL 2272, about 1,094 Wh, rated for up to 53+ miles. The NOVA Mini has a 48V 23Ah pack, about 1,104 Wh, rated for up to 53 miles, with a battery management system against overheating, overcharging and short circuits.
Tires and suspension
Both roll on a 14" front and 12" rear wheel with 3.0" tires and use hydraulic disc brakes. The NOVA X pairs a hydraulic fork with a nitrogen rear shock; the NOVA Mini uses nitrogen-filled hydraulic shocks front and rear.
Rider fit and payload
ESKUTE recommends the NOVA X for riders aged 12 and up, with a maximum payload of 280 lb. The NOVA Mini is rated for riders up to 265 lb, and ESKUTE's fit range is 4'2" to 5'9", so it suits smaller riders. ESKUTE's spec sheets give weights of 121 lb for the NOVA X and 125 lb for the NOVA Mini.
Pick the NOVA X for the bigger motor, steeper climbs and higher payload, and the NOVA Mini for a mid-drive layout sized for smaller riders. More detail is in our ESKUTE review.
